Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the accounting department in various tasks including bookkeeping, data entry, and general administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties. You will support our business growth and accounting department by processing invoices, transactions, expenses as well as updating our accounting database. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your accounting knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Past Due Invoice Collections
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards
- Generate and submit invoices for processing
- Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, data entry, and responding to inquiries
- Update and maintain accounting database
- Review internal reports for accuracy
- Manage and maintain client compliance requirements and documentation by utilizing various vendor credentialing platforms.
- Effectively communicate with management, clientele, and vendors.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards
- Experience with accounting software and systems, such as QuickBooks or Xero
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in Vendor Credentialing Platforms such as Real Page Vendor Credentialing, Net Vendor, Vendor Shield and others.
