Job Summary:

Plans, designs, develops, tests, coordinates, and implements financial business application programs. Analyzes business issues to formulate and develop new and/or modified computer programs and systems. Revises existing programs, systems, and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, and storage. Evaluates user requirements with existing and/or projected (computer) software capabilities. Establishes program and data parameters and formats. Coordinates symbolic statements of problems into appropriate specifications for coding computer systems, identifying functions to be programmed, information processing techniques used, and data representation. Prepares documentation, conducts program tests and corrects and/or raises awareness to program errors. Analyzes programming system’s capabilities to resolve questions of program standards, output requirements, input data acquisition, and programming techniques and controls. Develops policies, procedures and work instructions. Also supports management decision-making related to the Business system by in-depth analysis of our corporate database structure and issues of database integrity.

Job Model: Hybrid

Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with the Financial organization regarding financial aspects of business system processing, reporting and analyst activities specifically as a SME in the areas of AP and AR.
  • Contributes to the review, implementation, testing and documentation of financial feature upgrades to the Business system.
  • Reconciles Sales detail data base to General Ledger and Planning and Analytics.
  • Develops new financial business systems applications as needed.
  • Counsels and advises Financial management regarding financial business system integrity and data control.
  • Identifies financial and/or data control weaknesses in business systems.
  • Reviews and conducts system program analysis as needed to resolve program errors.
  • Identifies financial and/or data control weakness in Company policies, procedures, work instructions and analytical tools.
  • Develops Company policies, procedures, work instructions and analytical tools related to financial and data issues.
  • Provides end-user training as needed on the Business system and query/reporting tools.
  • Writes special query reports as needed.
  • Troubleshoots system issues specifically as they relate to ERP transactions.
  • Prepares adjusting General Ledger entries as needed.
  • Provides financial support to other areas of the Finance organization as needed.

  • Self-starter, ability to schedule and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives
  • Frequent inter-organization company contacts
  • Represents organization in providing solutions to problems associated with specific projects

  • Uses professional judgment to determine when a higher level of authority is necessary.
  • Liaise with Information Technology partners

  • Minimum BS in Computer Science and/or Accounting/Finance
  • 5-7 years experience in an Information Technology or Financial role.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations, Power BI, and Power Query a plus.

Targeted pay range: $80,000 - $87,000/yr. depending on experience

Hired applicants may be eligible for additional incentive compensation depending on the level and or function of the position which will be discussed with the candidate prior to formal interview.
