The goal of the TriSalus Internship Program is to bring top students to TriSalus Life Sciences to learn and engage in the Life Sciences Industry . In addition, the internship program will bring visibility to TriSalus Life Sciences for future employment opportunities.
Vision: Our vision is to overcome the challenges of treating patients with solid tumors by targeting organ specific immune suppressive mechanisms and delivering our immuno-oncology therapies directly to the site of the disease via our proprietary Pressure-Enabled Drug Delivery (PEDD) approach.
This is a 12 week internship assignment.
Duties and Responsibilities: Support the engineering team in development of new cancer treating medical devices and procedures in accordance with FDA and international regulations.
Education & Certifications:
Vision: Our vision is to overcome the challenges of treating patients with solid tumors by targeting organ specific immune suppressive mechanisms and delivering our immuno-oncology therapies directly to the site of the disease via our proprietary Pressure-Enabled Drug Delivery (PEDD) approach.
This is a 12 week internship assignment.
Duties and Responsibilities: Support the engineering team in development of new cancer treating medical devices and procedures in accordance with FDA and international regulations.
- Assist in device testing including animal labs and R&D bench testing.
- Assist in device manufacturing in a clean room environment.
- Participate in new product idea generation, including brainstorming sessions, hands on prototyping and bench evaluations
- Assist in producing and maintaining engineering drawings, per internal standards, using SolidWorks.
- Assist in developing and executing test protocols and writing technical reports.
- Assist in producing visual materials used by multiple departments.
- Support day-to-day engineering activities.
- Maintain compliance with all safety standards, approved procedures, quality systems regulations, and laws.
Education & Certifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar.
- College level junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Work experience in professional setting preferred.
- Basic knowledge of scientific procedure. Animal lab experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with multiple materials.
- Minimum 1 semester of CAD or engineering drawing class. Solidworks/Advanced Solidworks preferred.
- Hand or digital rendering skills, particularly of human anatomy a plus.
- Basic photography skills. Macro and video photography of small parts a plus.
- Adobe Illustrator and InDesign experience a plus.
- Ability to work at computer for several hours.
- Mechanical dexterity, possibly while assembling parts under a microscope.
- Ability to assist testing in lab setting- may include standing for long periods, wearing PPE, taking notes, and exposure to animal blood.
