Position Overview

This is a full-time position located in Oklahoma City, OK.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst II to play a vital role in the Revenue Assurance Division leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and support business goals. This intermediate-level position will work on a team that identifies revenue leakage providing solutions to fix the root cause of the loss. This role will support initiatives to enhance decision-making processes with a solid foundation in Business Intelligence methodologies, data modeling, and analytics platforms.

Compensation

  • Up to $80,000.00 based on education and experience.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop Business Intelligence strategies that align with the organization’s goals, participating in the creation of advanced analytics solutions that yield impactful insights that focus on revenue leakage.
  • Design and implement dashboards and reporting tools that provide strategic insights to management, facilitating data-driven decisions throughout the company.
  • Possess a proficient understanding of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker) and apply them in data extraction, transformation, and analysis to support business requirements.
  • Act as an advisor to department leads, offering guidance on employing BI tools and methodologies to meet business needs.
  • Participate in data governance efforts, ensuring data integrity, quality, and security standards are met in all BI initiatives.
  • Apply predictive modeling and statistical analysis techniques to forecast trends and support strategic planning.
  • Support the mentoring of junior analysts and contribute to training initiatives to enhance the organization's BI capabilities, fostering a culture of data literacy and analytical excellence.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position reports daily to and works in the Revenue Assurance Division at OTA Headquarters.
  • This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree which includes nine semester hours in statistics, statistical research methods, economics, demographic or social research statistics plus two years of experience in technical statistical and research work; or a master’s degree in a social science, business administration or public administration which includes nine semester hours of advanced statistical methods.

Preferred Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence or a related analytical role, with a history of contributing to impactful BI projects.
  • Business background with professional certifications in business intelligence, data analytics, or related areas are preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in data modeling, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to complex review and evaluation of business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting data insights to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience in implementing and managing BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to an innovative and analytical culture.
