We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer for our Power Department. This is a permanent position that offers a great opportunity to work on innovative construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, specifically in power systems, and will be proficient in using various software applications such as Revit/CAD, Trane Trace, eQuest, and AutoCAD Electrical.
Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer in our Power Department, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment and systems, including power distribution and lighting systems for construction projects.
2. Utilizing Revit/CAD, Trane Trace, eQuest, and AutoCAD Electrical to create and modify electrical drawings and specifications.
3. Collaborating with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure project objectives are met.
4. Performing load calculations, energy modeling, and lighting calculations.
5. Conducting site inspections and surveys to ensure installations and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
6. Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, documenting all inspections, and maintaining records of test data.
7. Providing technical support and guidance to construction teams.
8. Assisting in the development of project schedules and budgets.
9. Participating in project meetings and performing presentations as needed.
Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
3. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
4. Proficiency in Revit/CAD, Trane Trace, eQuest, and AutoCAD Electrical.
5. Experience with Energy Star programs and energy-efficient design.
6. Strong understanding of electrical theory, power systems, and electrical safety standards.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Willingness to continue education and training to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
