JOB PROFILE: Quality and Compliance Manager

JOB LOCATION: Carrollton, TX

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The arrangement of the listed duties does not indicate their significance or the amount of time allocated to each duty. Additional responsibilities may also be assigned.

  • The Quality and Compliance Manager manages the quality assurance and compliance teams
  • Identifies, evaluates, selects, and utilizes tools and methodologies to ensure our products and services comply with our internal requirements and client requirements. Identifies defects and complies with quality standards.
  • Evaluate and define the validation methods to be use to confirm compliance with the company’s requirements and client requirements.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the quality assurance process, and recommend alternative validation methods as needed.
  • Responsible for creating, modifying, and endorsing quality assurance plans and procedures. This position will be reporting directly to a senior manager
  • Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
  • Ensures project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved timelines and budgets.
  • Exercises complete control over personnel actions related to quality assurance and compliance validation
  • Comprehensive understanding of the operational procedures and processes within the function and department
  • Represent the organization and project in meetings and conferences associated with quality assurance and compliance topics
  • Interact and coordinate with senior management and client leadership on quality assurance issues and planning

  • Engage with Quality Assurance staff to provide guidance, mentoring, and training on how to be more effective and efficient
  • Define, implement, and maintain quality assurance methodologies and processes that all stakeholders can rally behind, and that are in line with the larger Quality Assurance organization
  • Ensure that performance and scalability is an integral component of all quality assurance and compliance validation strategies and project plans
  • Ensure approved software development quality standards, processes, and procedures are adhered to.
  • Make recommendations on the adoption of industry best-practices
  • Partner with the project team(s) to collect the data for the identified metrics per the project's defined process and provide analysis of those metrics
  • Roll up Software Quality Assurance metrics across application development projects
  • Ensuring all components of the software applications and systems for ViaPlus projects, is properly documented for each monthly release
  • Working in an Agile Project and Development Methodology environment, you will be performing multiple software quality assurance tasks
  • Reviewing for release content with the technical writer for release notes and online help

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum relevant degree in one of the following disciplines, such as a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, Computer Engineering, Technical, Business, or Information Technology
  • Three (3) years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor is required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience is required
  • Candidates with the following or similar certificates are preferred, but not necessary: CSTE, CAST, ISTQB

This position has supervisory responsibilities.
