Position Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced and client-focused IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting a variety of technical issues, working directly with clients, and documenting their work. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and excited to grow with a company that values both professionalism and personal integrity.

The objective for this position is to provide technical support, maintenance, and other IT-related tasks, both remote and on-site, to our growing client base. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service and troubleshooting skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This position provides the opportunity to support clients in a large variety of industries by installing, configuring, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various hardware and software. We are looking for a highly motivated, creative thinker, and self-starter who is also reliable and willing to learn and grow with us.

The number one goal of everyone in our team is to make our clients at ease and exceptionally happy. This position plays an important role in making sure that happens. The IT Support Technician handles the first and second-level support requests that come in from our clients. They are an important part of our helpdesk ticket workflow and makes sure that tickets are handled quickly, and in addition, the client is assured and informed of what to expect every step of the way.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for Tier I/II hardware and software support
  • Configure, troubleshoot, isolate, repair, and resolve issues including desktop/laptop/tablet hardware and software, mobile devices, printer/scanners/copiers, minor amounts of audiovisual equipment, hardware peripherals, and other desktop-related equipment
  • Configure, troubleshoot, isolate and resolve network issues, including but not limited to network switches, firewalls, access points, and network-attached storage devices
  • Take apart and reassemble desktop and laptop computers
  • Manually set up computer systems and/or hardware and install or re-install software programs
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
  • Assist with new equipment installation, set-up, and maintenance for workstations, printers, copiers, and telephones
  • Provide in-person, phone, and email help desk support
  • Manually examine and repair computer hardware and peripheral components
  • On-call rotations for nights and weekends
  • Develop and recommend procedures and controls for incident, request, and problem resolutions
  • Create documentation when needed
  • Use our Ticketing System to work on and resolve Helpdesk Tickets & Service Requests
  • Follow & contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Follow all our Security Procedures and keep a vigilant eye for security issues
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
  • Undertake other duties as required by senior staff/management

Job Qualifications:

  • DUE TO SUPPORT CONTRACTS WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, CANDIDATES MUST PASS A GOVERNMENT-REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK FOR EMPLOYMENT WITH LOCAL CIRCUIT
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role
  • Required knowledge of Windows (desktop and server OS), Android, and iOS
  • Experience administrating and supporting an Active Directory environment
  • Experience administrating Microsoft 365 Exchange and Azure/Entra tenants
  • Experience administrating and working within Microsoft SharePoint
  • Familiarity with RMM tools, ticketing systems, antivirus/EDR, DNS filtering, and backup solutions
  • Experience with Virtual Servers with HyperV and VMware
  • Strong hands-on technical skills, including Windows (laptops & desktops), M365, video conference rooms, machine imaging, office printers, Zebra devices (printers/scanners/tablets), mobile phones, and more
  • Advanced understanding of basic office applications, including Microsoft 365
  • Printer, network printer, and copier troubleshooting
  • A self-starting individual who can manage their time effectively without direct supervision
  • The ability to interact and collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, clients and their employees
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities and the ability to perform work in a demanding and sometimes stressful environment.
  • The ability to deal effectively with deadlines
  • The initiative to work independently and address problems, be able to adapt to changing demands, and must be able to follow through with the general direction
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • IT Industry certifications are a plus
  • Reliable transportation with valid drivers license – this position will involve on-site work
