Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant is often the first point of contact for our patients and plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the office. This position requires someone who is self-directed, organized, and sensitive to the needs of individuals seeking mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and empathy
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently
  • Greet and assist patients in the office
  • Collect and update new patient demographic and insurance information
  • Assist patients in obtaining prescription refills
  • Accept and process payments
  • Complete prior authorizations for medications

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a medical or mental health office setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • High level of empathy and professionalism in patient interactions
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
  • Experience with medication prior authorizations is highly desirable
