Position Summary

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be accountable for the performance and results for the organization’s market-leading technology platform supporting the healthcare provider supply chain. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive platform that supports spend visibility, price benchmarking, market share analysis, and sourcing in purchased services for the healthcare industry. We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology initiatives and drive the development of our SaaS platform for healthcare providers. The CTO will play a key role in shaping our technical roadmap, and leading a diverse team of product managers, software engineers, and quality assurance functions.

Evidence of experience in leading multiple teams, engagement in strategic planning, understanding of the complexity of the health care supply chain, and a proven track record of leading/implementing cost savings solutions are essential. The ability to think objectively and creatively about future possibilities are also key traits necessary for this position. Candidate must demonstrate ability to promote a positive environment for colleagues, identifying opportunities for enhancing a collaborative work environment, and work to address any issues that are creating barriers to an optimal work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in the planning, designing, and implementation of strategic business objectives related to Valify technology.
  • Partners with Valify and HealthTrust leadership teams to conceptualize, design and build technology solutions that contribute to long term operational excellence of Valify and VSG.
  • Partner and interface with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and/or resolve issues related to their experience with Valify technology.
  • Collaborates with Valify colleagues to ensure Valify technology meets internal and external market needs.
  • Oversees the development of the Valify technology platform.
  • Serves as primary interface to the HealthTrust ITG organization.
  • Oversee the product management function and develop the technical roadmap for the SaaS platform supporting hospital supply chain functions.
  • Ensure the reliable and timely delivery of high-quality software deliverables.
  • Set and execute against timeframes for developing and executing the company's technology roadmap
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of software engineers and quality assurance analysts, including remote team members, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Maintain the hardware, software, and networking needs for the local office and its employees, ensuring a secure and efficient technology infrastructure.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders at various levels, effectively communicating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical individuals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying them strategically to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Constructive participation in sprint planning, sprint reviews, and other agile activities.
  • Monitor and management of Valify's infrastructure and evolving the architecture, ensuring that capacity stays ahead of demand as the client/member base grows
  • Be willing to provide hands-on direct software engineering support to development project
  • Effectively manage performance of team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on building and delivering high- scale, customer facing technology products. Experience building supply chain related software (RFP, spend management, benchmarking, procure-to-pay) preferred.
  • Prior experience in a CIO/CTO or similar leadership role within a SaaS or healthcare technology company.
  • Familiarity with hospital supply chain and finance areas.
  • Experience in managing hardware, software, and networking needs for geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience with spend management/benchmarking platforms required.
  • Experience in GPO environment a plus.
  • 15% Travel required
