Overview

The position maintains the computer and communication networks of the organization within a manufacturing plant environment by providing technical support and ensuring systems run smoothly. Provide technical support to users efficiently and accurately. As the front line of support, will resolve technical issues, and minimize escalation need.

  • Support to end users for computer applications, system, device, access, and hardware issues.
  • Evaluate user needs, define technical problems, and work with various departments/staff to determine solutions.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair and update computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
  • Implement and assist in the roll out of new applications, software, and/or operating systems.
  • Perform system and user setups for new hires.
  • Performs required server backups.
  • Create, maintain, and support various databases in support of operations, finance, engineering, etc.

What You Bring To The Team

  • High school diploma and associate degree, technical school or minimum 1 year experience in technical support or equivalent combination of education and experience.; field service, helpdesk, or desktop support areas doing similar work as duties outlined above strongly preferred. IT support experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English; read, write, and speak. Ability to write procedures, routine reports, and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with vendors, associates, and various organizational levels.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and recommend and implement a resolution. Problem solving, decision making and analyzing information are key. Attention to detail is a must.
  • Software: Strong working knowledge and expertise in MS Access, Excel, Word, W10 & W11, Windows Server and SQL Server.
