Job Details

The Building Engineer ensures the proper maintenance, operation, and repair of facilities, equipment, and systems across all locations. This role manages preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinates repairs, and serves as a liaison between vendors and leadership to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee facility logs related to maintenance, environmental services, and security.
  • Ensure all equipment operates within regulatory and design standards.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergency situations, and work orders.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and secure facility for staff and visitors.
  • Assist in developing operating procedures for equipment and systems.
  • Support compliance with safety regulations and company protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in building maintenance, repair, and facility operations.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire suppression systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and facility management software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety protocols.

Physical & Safety Considerations:
  • Exposure to blood/body fluids in certain tasks (protective measures provided).
  • Frequent lifting, bending, standing, and working with tools and machinery.
  • Competency evaluations and in-service training required.

This position plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence and ensuring a safe, functional work environment.
