We are seeking an experienced and innovative Permanent Design Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead and manage the design engineering department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our product development process, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet the highest quality standards. This role involves working closely with various departments, including production, quality control, and sales to ensure that our products meet customer expectations and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

As a Design Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Leading a team of design engineers in the development of new products, from concept to production.
2. Overseeing the design and development of manufacturing processes, ensuring they are efficient and cost-effective.
3. Using CAD software to create detailed design plans and specifications for new products.
4. Implementing and managing ERP systems to streamline production processes and improve efficiency.
5. Ensuring all designs and processes comply with ASME standards and other relevant industry regulations.
6. Collaborating with the production and quality control departments to ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards.
7. Working closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and expectations, and ensure these are reflected in our product designs.
8. Identifying opportunities for product and process improvement, and driving the implementation of these improvements.
9. Managing project timelines and budgets, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
10. Providing leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Design Engineering Manager position will have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
3. Extensive experience with CAD software, and a strong understanding of design principles and techniques.
4. Experience implementing and managing ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
5. A thorough understanding of ASME standards and other relevant industry regulations.
6. Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
7. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
9. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, and a passion for innovation in the manufacturing industry.
