Our client in San Jose, CA is actively seeking an IT Specialist to join their team!

The role is contract to hire and will also require 5 days a week, onsite in the office. ***Candidates must be local and be able to work on a W2 basis.***

Ideal candidates will be someone who has 5-7 years of experience in providing helpdesk level support and be proactive with onboarding / provisioning new employees and scheduling / upgrading existing users.

IT Specialist

  • Support users in PC, Mac and a 100% SaaS environment
  • Provision, deploy, and troubleshoot end-user equipment (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals), following and updating existing documentation as needed
  • Schedule and perform upgrades for existing employees every 36 months
  • Support non-managed computers from our lab environments, R&D environments and software development environments as needed for systems resets and basic GPU configurations
  • Perform initial device setup and configuration, ensuring users have access to required systems.
  • Handle basic troubleshooting for hardware, connectivity (Wi-Fi, Cloudflare WARP, Okta Fastpass), printing, and peripheral devices.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for low-complexity software issues (e.g., Microsoft Office, Zoom, WARP, Okta Fastpass).
  • Track all work and tickets through the ticketing system with clear documentation.
  • Answer inbound support tickets, triage and route to escalated resources as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge base articles for standard troubleshooting and provisioning tasks.
  • Organize and maintain inventory cage and other onsite IT assets (Zoom rooms, printers, IDF/MDF closet) at the direction of senior engineering staff, as needed.
