Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead day-to-day operations across all commercial laundry and linen rental sites, ensuring consistency, efficiency and profitability
- Develop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across all facilities
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies
- Collaborate with ownership and finance leadership to develop and execute strategic growth plans, including acquisitions and expansions
- Manage and mentor a cross-functional leadership team including plant managers, service/delivery managers and production supervisors
- Lead recruitment, training, and retention strategies to build a high-performing operations team
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
- Oversee production schedules, capacity planning, equipment maintenance and quality control
- Ensure all plants maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve plant layout, equipment utilization and automation
- Partner with the sales and service teams to ensure exceptional client experience and retention
- Resolve escalated service or operational issues promptly and professionally
- Support expansion into new customer verticals or service territories as needed
- Optimize inventory management across locations for linen, chemicals, parts and consumables
- Negotiate vendor contracts and manage supplier relationships to improve cost efficiency
- Evaluate and implement technology systems (ERP, route management, production tracking, etc.) to streamline operations
- Drive data-driven decision making by developing real-time operational dashboards and reporting tools
- Work with finance leadership to develop and manage plant-level budgets, forecasts, and capital investment plans
- Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS), labor costs, and other key financial drivers
- Drive initiatives to improve margins, reduce waste and optimize operational ROI
- Ensure OSHA and industry safety standards are consistently followed
- Implement best practices for environmental compliance and sustainability
- Develop and maintain business continuity and risk management plans
- Minimum 20 years of total experience in commercial laundry, textile rental, industrial manufacturing, or related operations
- At least 10 years in senior leadership roles (Plant Manager, Director of Operations, GM, COO, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or Industrial/Mechanical Engineering background strongly preferred. MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus
- Proven ability to manage multi-site operations and large teams in a fast-paced, asset-intensive environment
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with experience in industrial laundry equipment and process automation
- Bilingual: English & Spanish
