This position is responsible for processing and reconciling benefit invoices, funding requests, and premium payments. What You Will Learn
The Benefits Finance & Accounting Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial management of the company's employee benefits programs. This position is responsible for processing and reconciling benefit invoices, funding requests, and premium payments. The administrator collaborates closely with internal stakeholders (Payroll, Accounting, Treasury) and external benefit vendors to maintain accurate financial records.
- Process and reconcile invoices from various benefit providers, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Manage funding requests for various benefit programs, including health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, and commuter benefits.
- Process premium payments to insurance carriers and other benefit vendors.
- Reconcile bank transactions related to benefit programs, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare journal entries and other accounting documentation related to benefit expenses.
- Assist with the preparation of benefit budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain accurate records of benefit plan enrollment and premium rates.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve billing issues and ensure smooth operation of benefit programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits administration, accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
