Network Design & Architecture Engineer
We're seeking a skilled Network Design & Architecture Engineer to support the implementation of resilient underground network infrastructure. This role will focus on LAN/WAN design, wireless technologies, and fiber optics to support a complex onsite project in Salt Lake City.

salary: $55 - 58 per hour
work hours: 8am to 5pm
education: Bachelors
responsibilities:
- Architect IP-based underground network systems, including LAN/WAN, mesh, and RF
- Design and deploy Wi-Fi, LTE, and radio communications in challenging underground environments
- Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables to ensure high-speed and high-integrity data transmission
- Support low-voltage systems, power backup planning, and electrical troubleshooting
- Implement VPNs, firewalls, encryption, and authentication protocols
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in network engineering
- Strong understanding of underground network challenges and RF/Wi-Fi/LTE deployment
- Hands-on experience with fiber optic installations and low-voltage systems
- Familiarity with security protocols and network monitoring tools
- Degree in Electrical/Network Engineering or relevant field (or equivalent experience)
