Description
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying potential threats, implementing security measures, and making pivotal decisions that affect our organization's security posture. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of security solutions, as well as monitoring systems for any breaches or vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and systems to protect our information assets.
- Monitor networks for security breaches and actively respond to incidents and alerts.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop secure infrastructure and application designs.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in the best practices for data protection and network segmentation.
- Conduct security training and awareness programs for staff to promote a culture of cybersecurity.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and technology solutions in the cybersecurity field.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or similar role in the field of IT security.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
- Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response frameworks.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
