An engagement manager is responsible for overseeing software development projects from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed within scope, on time, and within budget. Their primary responsibilities include:
- The SW engagement manager is responsible for allocating resources to the project, including team members, hardware, and software resources. They need to ensure that the team has the necessary resources to complete the project on time and within budget.
- Needs to maintain clear and consistent communication with the client, development team, and stakeholders.
- Needs to identify potential risks and develop a plan to mitigate them.
- Needs to ensure that the software development process adheres to quality standards and meets the client's requirements
- Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with the client. They need to understand the client's business needs and ensure that the software development project aligns with those needs.
- Single point of contact for any escalation across BU
- Travel to clients locations and meeting stake holders on regular basis.
- Monthly sync up with Clients BU leadership
- Closely work with onsite/offshore delivery team to resolve any conflicts
- Work with Offshore Delivery Manager on Requirements, Training, QBR, Travel etc.
- Have regular sync up with Onsite Managers and resolve conflicts if any
- Closely work with offshore Delivery Manager/Practices and schedule regular meeting with clients onsite managers/directors for any new learnings/challenges
- Work with BDM to track MSA/SOW renewals
- Facilitate customer conversations / meetings for visiting offshore stakeholders
