The Project and Data Management of CPCCo's Sample Management & Reporting team is seeking a dynamic Operations Support Specialist for Hanford site. This includes Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Atomic Energy Act (AEA) required sampling.

A day in the life of an Operations Specialist involves the following:

  • Manage and provide technical review of CERCLA, RCRA, and AEA groundwater sampling documents for hundreds of wells and aquifer tubes.
  • Review technical documents for accuracy and completeness, used in sampling and by project Scientists. Research complex sample and data issues.
  • Provide technical documents for DOE and Ecology requests generated during Inspections.
  • Review complex technical documents for sampling.
  • Subject matter expert on Pump and Treat hexavalent chromium entry.
  • Manages Data Usability Assessment (DUA) processes.
  • Analytical data entry, chain of custody log-in, Sample Delivery Group (SDG) creation in Sample Data Tracking (SDT) including utilization of the Hanford Environmental Information System (HEIS) database.
  • Work with other departments to ensure success of both entities.
  • Perform quality control checks for groundwater sampling paperwork; troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies using independent judgement.

Required Qualifications

  • Intermediate Grade 14: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Intermediate Grade 15: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 3 or more years of relevant experience

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • High level of proficiency in Access, Excel, Hydrodat User Interface (HUI), records management systems and other related software.
  • Experience writing/reviewing technical documents and communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, to multiple levels of the organization.
  • Effective interactive skills with multiple organizations, management, and customers.

Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

  • Intermediate Grade 14: $78,500 - $91,975
  • Intermediate Grade 15: $80,225 - $101,175

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
