We are seeking an experienced Education Developer with a strong background in medical laboratory science to support the creation and enhancement of continuing education content and interactive learning tools. This role involves proofreading and editing educational materials, collaborating with contract writers and subject matter experts, and ensuring the accuracy and relevance of all content. The ideal candidate will: Contribute to the development of innovative, learner-centered educational products. Bring a strong understanding of clinical relevance, regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, ASCP), and real-world lab workflows. Help translate complex concepts into engaging, accessible content for learners at all career stages, including laboratory science students. The right candidate is passionate about education, innovation, and improving the professional growth of laboratory personnel. Experience with instructional design, LMS tools, or digital learning platforms is a plus.

Key Responsibilities and Duties: Proofread, review, and copy-edit content developed by team members and contract writers. Collaborate closely with internal teams and external contributors to plan, develop, and revise CE modules, case simulators, and assessment tools. Use lab expertise to identify knowledge gaps, improve instructional design, and ensure clinical accuracy. Research emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and advances in diagnostic testing to keep content current and forward-thinking. Monitor user feedback, performance analytics, and client requests to inform continuous content improvement. Support the client service and marketing teams with scientific review, educational insight, and creative input. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory and/or education setting Experience as an educator, such as an MLS/MLT Instructor or Program Director, is highly preferred Clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all writing Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills Ability to adopt a uniform writing style across all projects Ability to multi-task, work independently, take initiative, and complete tasks to meet deadlines Must take direction well and assume responsibility for the completion of the assigned projects Previous experience with MediaLab products is a plus Educational Requirements : Option 1: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology from a NAACLS-accredited program Option 2: Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a NAACLS-accredited program AND a Bachelor's degree in a related science field (e.g., biology, chemistry) MLS(ASCP) or MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent through AMT Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Curriculum Development, Public Health, Healthcare Administration) is preferred In addition to a competitive base salary and performance bonus program, Vastian offers a comprehensive and very pro-employee benefits package, which includes the following: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short- and long-term disability coverage Life insurance and AD&D Supplemental life insurance 401(k) savings plan Paid time off Vastian is an equal opportunity employer.
