General Information: Job Title: Real Estate AccountantMajor Department: AccountingMinor Department: AccountingDOL Classification: ExemptPosition Summary:The Real Estate Accountant is responsible for accounting functions related to commercial real estate properties and corporate entities. As a team member of Pete’s Fresh Market it is important that Pete’s Four Pillars of Value, Aesthetic, Quality, and Customer Service are always exemplified Essential Functions and Duties:Prepare financial statements and reports for multiple real estate propertiesAnalyze property income and expenses and provide accurate accounting for rental and leasing operations.Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and issuing payments to vendorsCreating and setting up accounts for new tenantsCharge rent and send out monthly statements to tenantsReconcile bank statements and general ledger accountsComplete yearly CAM reconciliationsCollaborate with property managers, attorneys, and other stakeholders on financial matters.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.All positions must be performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned by management or leadership.Job Skills:Ability to follow directions and procedures, effective time management and organization skills.Adaptability and strong interpersonal skillsStrong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
