
ITSpecialist (Data Management)
Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytic capabilities, taking complicated problems and building simple models/frameworks. Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex financial datasets. Evaluate organizational financial methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for financial datasets. Evaluate internal financial systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing and cleansing financial data. Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization. Work directly with financial managers and users of financial data to gather requirements, provide status updates and build relationships. Work closely project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytic needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers. Proactively analyze financial data to answer key questions for stakeholders with an eye on what drives business performance and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity. Develop and maintain financial databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources and build scripts that will make the data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets. Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources using data visualization tools such as Google Charts, Grafana, Microsoft Excel/Power Bl, Tableau, Zoho Analytics, Datawrapper, Infogram. Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with financial analysts. Commission and decommission data sets. Process confidential data and information according to user requirements. Manage and design reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata. Support data warehouse in identifying and revising report requirements. Assess, test, and implement new or upgrade data analysis software and assist with strategic decision on procuring new data analysis capabilities. Troubleshoot the reporting database environment reports. Train end users on new reports and dashboards. Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing. Manage data users and user roles. Manage master data, including creation, updates, and deletions. Prepare financial data reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns and predictions using relevant data.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience with data mining as a data analyst and using visualization tools to present data findings. Experience with analytics, including mining, evaluation, and visualization, to better understand data-driven insights. Strong SQL or Excel experience. Experience with statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages, including Excel, SPSS, and SAS. Experience with the use, operation, and functioning of relational databases, as well as data integration and warehousing techniques using third-party integration tools.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Bachelor's degree in economics, mathematics, finance, statistics, information systems or computer science field.
- Experience with an accounting role is desirable.
- Aptitude for learning other analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Charts, Grafana.
- Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
