Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical requirements for PeopleSoft applications (HCM, Financials, CRM, etc.).
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand system functionalities and technical details.
- Identify and document test data requirements for both manual and automated testing.
- Execute test cases for system integration, functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of PeopleSoft modules to ensure they meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of defects and issues.
- Develop and implement test automation scripts using tools like Selenium, QTP, or other automation frameworks.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation suites to optimize test coverage and efficiency.
- Log, track, and manage defects using industry-standard defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.).
- Participate in triage meetings and work with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues.
- Conduct performance testing to ensure PeopleSoft applications meet response time, scalability, and stability requirements.
- Monitor system performance during testing and provide analysis and recommendations.
- Provide detailed test reports, including test coverage, test results, and defect trends.
- Document testing processes and ensure test artifacts are up to date.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test data and assisting end-users in testing activities.
- Work closely with project teams during deployment to ensure a smooth transition to production.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in PeopleSoft testing (HCM, FSCM, CRM, or other modules).
- Required Skills
- Strong experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, QTP, PeopleSoft Test Framework).
- Deep understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, integration points, and module-specific functionalities.
- Proficient in SQL queries for test data validation.
- Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or JMeter is a plus.
- Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Client ALM, or similar.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) for automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Desired Skills
- Experience in cloud-based PeopleSoft environments (e.g., Oracle Cloud).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a DevOps environment.
- Certification in PeopleSoft applications or testing tools (e.g., ISTQB, Oracle certifications).
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Jenkins or Bamboo for CI/CD pipelines.
