Job Title: Senior Automation Test Specialist DevOps
Location: Remote (Work will be performed offsite) - CA
Contract Duration: 1 Year (with potential for extension)
Project Overview: Client Enterprise Solutions Development Division (ESDD) is seeking a Senior Automation Test Specialist to support the development of automated test cases using Tricentis Tosca for Client applications. The consultant will serve as a test automation subject matter expert (SME), collaborating with internal teams and supporting DevOps integration for CI/CD environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Automated Test Cases
- Create a minimum of 10 automated test cases per month in Tricentis Tosca
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, solution architects, and testers
- Execute and validate test cases for accuracy and stability
- Use tools like Jira and Microsoft Teams for collaboration and reporting
- Submit weekly written status reports
Refactor Existing Test Cases
- Review and revise existing Tosca test cases and test step libraries
- Improve quality, reduce complexity, and enhance test consistency
- Pair programming/workshop-based collaboration for knowledge transfer
Develop Test Automation Framework for CI/CD
- Design and implement CI/CD-compatible automation framework
- Integrate Tosca with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS Pipelines
- Ensure scripts can run unattended with environment setup and data prep
Knowledge Transfer
- Conduct structured training and mentorship for Client staff
- Provide documentation and collaborative support for state employees
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in test automation and QA processes
- Minimum 3 5 years hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca
- Strong knowledge of:
- Tosca automation framework design
- Regression suite management and reusable test components
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS Pipelines
- Ticketing tools: Jira, collaboration via MS Teams
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Creating complex automated test scripts
- Integration of test automation in CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge sharing and mentoring junior team members
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in Agile development environments
- Familiarity with government or large enterprise systems
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload remotely
Additional Requirements:
- Must complete weekly deliverables as defined by the Contract Manager
- Participation in knowledge transfer sessions is mandatory
- Consultant must be able to work collaboratively in virtual settings
- Must comply with all security and NDA requirements
