Master Data Management (MDM) Solution Architect
Role: Master Data Management (MDM) Solution Architect
Location: Remote
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Master Data Management (MDM) Solution Architect to lead the design and guide the implementation of our next-generation, custom MDM solution. This critical role involves architecting a robust platform leveraging Reltio, SAP, Azure, SAP BTP, Data.World Data Catalog, Precisely, and Apex technologies. You will collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, the core MDM team, integration specialists, and multiple development teams across various technology stacks. Working within an Agile framework, you will provide technical leadership and architectural oversight to ensure the successful delivery and evolution of this strategic MDM initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the MDM Solution Blueprint: Develop and maintain a detailed architecture blueprint for the MDM ecosystem, with Reltio at the center, ensuring alignment with enterprise integration, security, and data strategies.
End-to-End Governance Architecture: Design and lead implementation of an end-to-end data governance framework, aligning technical, operational, and stewardship layers across MDM and non-MDM data assets (Reltio, Databricks, SAP, Data.World)
Technical Leadership: Provide architectural guidance, technical direction, and mentorship to multiple development teams (Reltio configurers, SAP developers, Azure integration engineers, etc.) operating within an Agile methodology.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with Enterprise Architects, business stakeholders, data stewards, the MDM operational team, and various integration teams to ensure the architecture aligns with business needs and enterprise standards.
Integration Strategy: Define and oversee the implementation of integration patterns between Reltio, SAP ECC, SAP BTP, Precisely, Apex and other enterprise systems.
Standards & Best Practices: Establish and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, data modeling guidelines, and best practices for the MDM solution components.
Role-Based Access & Auditability: Ensure that access controls, audit trails, and role-based visibility are built into MDM and integrated systems to meet compliance and privacy standards.
Data Quality Monitoring & Remediation: Define architecture for persistent data quality monitoring, including integration with reporting tools for dashboarding and anomaly detection.
Technology Evaluation & Roadmap: Stay current with MDM, data integration, and cloud technologies; evaluate new tools and techniques, and contribute to the MDM technology roadmap.
Problem Solving: Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex design and implementation challenges related to the MDM ecosystem.
Metadata & Lineage Integration: Ensure metadata capture, data lineage tracking, and impact analysis are embedded in the MDM design using tools such as Data.World.
Drive Business Rules Implementation: Translate business data rules (survivorship, validation, enrichment, transformation) into scalable and sustainable technical rules within Reltio and supporting tools.
Agile Participation: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) providing architectural input and guidance.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, data models, and technical specifications.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years focused specifically on designing and implementing large-scale MDM solutions.
Proven experience architecting and implementing solutions using Reltio.
Strong understanding of SAP master data domains (e.g., Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance) and experience integrating SAP ECC with other systems.
