Job Description (Posting). : Job SummaryA highly skilled and experienced Engineer/Architect to join our IT team. A strong background in Citrix and Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), with expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level virtual desktop solutions. This role will be responsible for engineering and architecting end-user computing solutions, ensuring high performance, security, and automation of VDI environments. The role will also support the architecture and engineering functions for global end-user solutions. This role focuses on Microsoft M365, software distribution, and the development of global IT standards to ensure seamless user experiences across a diverse enterprise environment.Key Responsibilities Design, architect, and implement Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions to meet business and technical requirements. Lead the engineering, automation, and optimization of VDI infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Develop and implement automation strategies to streamline VDI deployment, maintenance, and monitoring. Work closely with IT security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices. Provide expertise in desktop engineering, including OS image creation, application packaging, and deployment. Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and operational procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve complex VDI-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network, security, and storage teams, to ensure seamless VDI integration. Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune and related security and compliance tools. Support the architecture of global software distribution solutions, ensuring secure, efficient, and standardized application deployment across the enterprise. Contribute to the development and enforcement of global IT standards, ensuring consistency in endpoint configurations, security policies, and compliance measures. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to assess business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to M365 applications, software deployments, and endpoint configurations. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in enterprise IT solutions to drive innovation and process improvements. Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and IT support staff on related technologies and best practices. The Global Core End User Architecture and Engineering role is expected to take work, decompose, and assess the work and then articulate a strategy. The engineer is expected to be a partner across all areas to carry the solution to delivery and then transition to operations staff.
