GovCIO is seeking a Release Train Engineer to lead a team of data professionals in support of Veterans Affairs ensuring the full lifecycle of the Veteran experience is properly ingested, driving program and process improvements. This position will be fully remote within the United States position.

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) serves as a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART). They ensure the smooth operation of ART events and practices and assist Agile Teams in their success. The RTE facilitates communication with stakeholders, problem-solving, and risk management. The RTE also manages impediments and fosters continuous improvement. They are integral to the ART leadership, collaborating with Product Management, the System Architect, and Business Owners to achieve effective outcomes on the ART.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline
15 years
4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
Clearance Required: The ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

- Serving as a liaison between product management, development and operations teams
- Maintaining calendars for program increments (PIs), or phases of ART projects
- Implementing PI planning events and monitoring their progress
- Monitoring the development and implementation of new programs and features
- Helping the ART manage and mitigate risks, such as budget and productivity issues
- Identifying and managing bottlenecks through resource allocation
- Encouraging teams within the ART to collaborate on certain tasks to meet goals
- Promoting improvement through inspect and adapt (I&A) events after PI completions
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline
