Senior ETL Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior ETL Developer in Boston, MA.

Key Tasks:
* Senior ETL Developer will use the Talend ETL toolset to create new ETL jobs
* Design and implement ETL for extracting and transforming data from diverse sources, such as: Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server databases
* Design and develop database tables necessary along with the necessary constraints as per the requirement
* Collaborate with team members to understand source system structures and data retrieval methods/techniques, and tools within the organization
* As a Senior ETL Developer, you will support the development of data transformation logic using ETL tools or scripting languages like SQL, Bash, Python, etc.
* Clean, validate, and transform data to conform to target schema and quality standards
* Work with the team to execute data quality improvement plans
* Participate in troubleshooting activities to maintain data integrity and process efficiency

REQUIREMENTS:
* Five years of experience using Talend Data Fabric in a professional environment
* Five years of experience working for a health data organization performing ETL Development activities
* Three years of experience with database, data warehouse, ETL, business intelligence, or software development
* Experience in developing projects using Talend with Data Integration and Cloud Integration working with large datasets
* Experience with cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) and Microsoft DevOps Git Repos
* Experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server database technologies
* Demonstrable knowledge with the Talend Data Fabric tool, ESB, and MDM development tasks and processes, particularly creating ETL from Technical specifications and converting ETL from other third party ETL tools and frameworks
* Working knowledge and understanding of HIPAA policies and working with PII and PHI sensitive data
* Effective at managing competing priorities and can work independently with little or no supervision
* Excellent communication skills: verbal and written, along with excellent documentation skills
* Comfortable working under tight deadlines while maintaining well organized, detailed, and process-oriented work habits
* Able to create/modify tables, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other DB objects
* Ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
