Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to help our National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) customer to leverage Power Platform and other development tools to get new applications delivered quickly to their business users.

Work Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

How a Business Analyst Will Make An Impact

  • Provides requirements analysis and related support of new systems and processes being developed in Microsoft Power Platform and other technologies
  • Captures and defines requirements with a variety of techniques, including BDD-style specifications, API specifications, user stories, use cases, and mockups
  • Conducts interviews with product owners, users, and other stakeholders to identify candidate requirements
  • Analyzes existing systems interfaces and documents
  • Describes and executes test cases
  • Collaborates with the team on agile activities, including estimation, iterative planning and retrospectives
  • Manages requirements in Jira using a backlog, and collaborates with product owners to prioritize the backlog
  • Manages the flow of development from idea to release
  • Troubleshoots and investigates issues reported by business users and provides ongoing communication about status
  • Creates end user documentation, including user and quick reference guides

What You’ll Need To Succeed:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Social Science
  • Required Experience: Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • Experience with using Jira to manage requirements
    • 10 years of experience working with business processes, business analysis and/or re-engineering in a system engineering or software application environment
    • Translating and documenting business requirements into detailed user, functional, and systems requirements
    • Experience developing wireframes and mockups
    • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a NIH Public Trust

  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Ability to effectively communicate and the ability to convey complex concepts.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Desired Skills and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform
    • Experience with application testing

    The likely salary range for this position is $106,371 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
