Position Summary

Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for overseeing and executing complex projects? Join our client's team as a Project Engineer and play a pivotal role in managing the technical aspects of capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects from inception through to completion. Based in Fort Worth, TX, this role involves working closely with Project Managers to deliver projects that range from small-scale improvements to large-scale greenfield and brownfield developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering activities across various disciplines including mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and environmental.
  • Design and Documentation: Develop conceptual designs, including layout, flow sheets, and equipment specifications. Prepare and review engineering documents and drawings.
  • Site Management: Conduct site surveys, 3D scans, and take measurements. Oversee construction sites and fabrication shops, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
  • Technical Evaluation: Contribute to the technical evaluation and clarification during the bidding and contract process.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance: Promote and apply best practices for engineering safety, health, environment, and quality to achieve Zero Harm in project execution.
  • Support and Training: Provide guidance during commissioning and start-up, assist in training, and support the handover process to operations.

Required Skills And Attributes

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Inventor, or equivalent CAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of process equipment, bulk material handling, and mass flow calculations.
  • Basic understanding of civil, structural, electrical, and automation engineering.
  • Ability to forecast, analyze, and mitigate technical risks.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-location environment.
  • Strong team player with a commitment to group values and ethics.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather and exposure to industrial settings.
  • Willing to travel extensively and stay at project sites as needed.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to access all areas within a site, including heights up to 180 feet and confined spaces.
  • Tolerance for working in environments with high temperatures, noise, and dust.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical activities such as standing, walking, and climbing.

Education And Experience

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in engineering within the lime, cement, or mineral industry.
