SUMMARY

We have an incredible opportunity with a global food manufacturing leader! We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager with both inbound and outbound logistics from a manufacturing facility. Familiarity with order-to-cash will be key to success in this role, with the ability to engage and collaborate across departments. A continuous improvement mindset is necessary and proficiency in working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Trains and supports team of logistics planners on best practices, providing operational support where necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring on-time and in-full delivery of customer orders and at best cost from our network of carriers.
  • Work with Inventory Control and Procurement to effectively coordinate and route purchase orders and inventory transfers.
  • Builds relationships with carriers and drives excellence through continuous scorecard monitoring and upholding company service expectations.
  • Holds carriers accountable for uploading and emailing documentation to facilitate the invoicing process, such as PODs, accessorial charge receipts, etc.
  • Promptly addresses service failures, shortages/overages, customer rejections, and any other shipment exceptions within the TMS and ensures thorough documentation and communication to relevant parties.
  • Participates in continuous improvement events, helping build more robust and efficient processes within the logistics department.
  • Owns freight settlement data accuracy for all shipments managed, methodically auditing invoiced charges and handling discrepancies between planned versus actual shipment costs.
  • Leverages freight spend and shipment volume data to make intelligent planning decisions and to drive competition with carrier network.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a logistics or transportation role.
  • 3 plus years of experience in a supervisory or management role within logistics and transportation.
  • Experience working with a Transportation Management System (TMS) is required.
  • ERP experience is required, preferably within food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Experience working with cold chain logistics is preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Data oriented mindset and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Data visualization experience is a plus (Looker or PowerBI are preferred).
  • APICS CLTD or CSCP preferred.
  • SQL experience is preferred.
