Supply Chain Specialist - Strategic Project Management

We are seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Project Manager to focus on strategic supply chain and warehouse improvements that future-proof our operations. You will work on large-scale initiatives designed to enhance efficiency and drive growth within our network. This role involves close collaboration with international supply chain management, external consultants, vendors, and key stakeholders to design, implement, and execute strategic plans effectively.

Position Details:

  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • Starting Salary: $77,000
  • Salary Increases: Year 2 - $80,000 | Year 3 - $85,000
  • Work Location: Batavia, IL (Temporary Location: Naperville, IL)
  • Hybrid Work Program: Eligible to work remotely up to 3 days per week

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Support the implementation of supply chain management strategies.
  • Assist in testing new procedures and systems.
  • Recommend process improvements within the area of responsibility.
  • Communicate effectively with divisions and external vendors.
  • Prioritize tasks, take ownership of results, and utilize escalation paths when necessary.
  • Assist colleagues as needed.
  • Create and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
  • Analyze data and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Communicate relevant information to team members and leadership.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and productivity skills.
  • Ability to prepare written materials tailored to specific audiences.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, R, SQL, or Python.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in business.
  • Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work may be performed in an office, remote office, or a combination of both using a computer and office equipment as needed.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, grasp, and move between areas.
  • Constant use of keyboard and mouse.
  • Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift, and move up to 25 lbs.

Travel:

  • Minimal travel required for training, project work, and administrative tasks.
