Our client is a large airline company based in the Greater Seattle Area.

PRODUCT MANAGER – DIGITAL IDENTITY

Role Summary:

The Product Manager (PdM) role supporting digital identity on the Travel Experience team in the E-Commerce organization will be responsible for executing the strategy for digital identity and championing ways to introduce additional forms of guest identity solutions across the guest journey touchpoints (e.g., Bag Drop, Security, Boarding, etc.). The PdM will own a digital identity roadmap, collaborating closely with the design & engineering teams to launch new capabilities. Additionally, they will be responsible for helping to drive and optimize aspects of the guest experience and partner to support the operation’s adoption of this technology. To be successful in this role, the PdM will need to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholder teams, including ITS (back-end payments architecture), Policy & Procedures, Government Affairs, Airport Authorities, TSA, Customs & Boarder Protection and various teams across E-Commerce.

Key Duties:

  • Accountable for leading the digital identity roadmap and establishing priorities for enhancing the experience.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute the strategy across the guest journey.
  • Responsible for following industry and technology trends for digital identity to be incorporated into solutions to unlock the strategy. This includes ongoing IATA standards.
  • Responsible for requirements definition and discovery for the digital identity roadmap, including navigating technical dependencies & tradeoffs while still delivering a strong guest experience.
  • Partner closely with E-Commerce and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle (Communication, Updates, Reporting, etc.).
  • May be responsible for additional products outside of digital identity.
  • Effectively collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Agile Delivery team members.
  • Responsible for maintaining/owning a backlog to deliver the guest experience.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Refinement, Bi-Weekly Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:

Required:

  • Five years of product management experience within a complex business environment, including reporting on operational results.
  • Excellent strategy, organizational, project management, interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills. High energy, positive presence along with top-notch written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in an agile-based operating model.
  • Innovative, resilient, fact-based and creative solutions-focused mindset, with ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a rapidly changing, collaborative environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with digital identity technologies including on 1:1 and 1:n (e.g., gallery based biometric matching, Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, etc.).
  • Having experience/background in the aviation industry is a plus.
  • Mix of experience in operationalizing the use of digital identity for customers/guests and working with government agencies.

By the end of the first month, what does success look like in terms of deliverables and overall progress?

Understanding the space and strategy deeply enough to run meetings on the topic.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Duration: ASAP to start, to run through 12/2024 and planning to extend contract annually.

Location: HM is open to fully remote candidate, local candidate is welcome onsite in SeaTac, WA.

Daily Schedule: M-F, 40 hours a week, no OT anticipated.

Hardware: Client will provide.

Role Requirements: Client requires a background test & a drug screen before start.
