Supply Planning Manager

Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain

Based in Charleston, SC

Responsibilities:

  • The Supply Planning manager will update, maintain, and analyze the 12-month rolling global supply plan (North America, Asia & EMEA) for all finished goods SKUs, and will be integral to our global mission of delivering Apple accessories designed to enhance and inspire within the global Apple consumer market.
  • Monitor and adjust the supply plan inputs (demand plan, MFG lead times, transportation lead times, safety stock policies, and current/future inventory position)
  • Develop purchase order recommendations for finished goods SKUs, changes to existing purchase orders, and/or stock transfers to cover customer demand per the safety stock guidelines.
  • Create purchase orders within the ERP system and communicate exact requirements to external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain a weekly feedback loop with the small supplier base regarding purchase order requirements and ensure the supplier meets the required delivery dates.
  • Participate in all weekly and monthly S&OP meetings representing the supply planning function.
  • Work collaboratively to avoid and/or mitigate excess inventory across the global supply chain network.
  • Partner with new and existing suppliers to ensure an effective working relationship and accurate flow of information related to new or outstanding purchase orders.
  • Support the new product launch process, including planning/scheduling/prioritizing supplier production to support global product launches.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or operations is required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a supply planning role with Asia-based suppliers is required.
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills are required.
  • The ability to work in a hands-on, fast-growing/dynamic environment is required.
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry is preferred.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management is preferred (ASCM CPIM or ASCM CSCP)
  • This position is on-site/in-office based in downtown Charleston, SC, with 1 day per week of optional remote working available.
