Job Description:

General Atlantic is seeking a Product Analyst with strong financial treasury and accounting knowledge to support our IT team. The role involves developing business requirements, creating test cases, and performing tests before deployment. You will enhance a custom in-house application for GA’s Treasury and Accounting Teams and assist in designing and developing solutions in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

Agile Delivery & Training

- Manage backlogs based on functional and technical requirements.

- Participate in daily scrums and backlog management.

- Prepare training documents with Finance and IT teams.

- Develop transition plans for IT operations support.

- Create technical documentation per company standards.

Business Analysis & Planning

- Develop detailed requirement documents from brainstorming sessions.

- Liaise with finance teams to design and document user requirements.

- Coordinate change requests and ensure timely updates.

- Contribute to architectural planning with input on functional needs.

Quality Assurance

- Create test cases with Finance stakeholders, considering GA Accounting data.

- Define acceptance criteria and manage the quality assurance process.

- Document and manage defect resolution.

- Prepare sample data for testing and assist in UAT.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Background and Training

- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications preferred.

- 5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting Systems or professional services, with 3 years in Quality Assurance.

- Experience in Private Equity or buy-side Finance.

- Knowledge of INVESTRAN is a plus.

Technology

- Experience with custom in-house applications.

- Familiarity with agile software engineering processes.

- Ability to address usability, performance, and security requirements.

- Exposure to JIRA is a plus.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based productivity tools.

Business Analysis / Problem Solving

- Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

- Experience with reviewing business requirements and designing user-friendly solutions.

- Ability to identify improvement areas and implement solutions.

- Comfortable working with technology and business contacts.

Communication

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.

- Strong organizational skills and team collaboration.
