QC Manager

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Quality Management System (QMS):

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards including customer requirements or industry standards
  • Ensure that the QMS is effectively integrated into all operational processes.

Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee the quality assurance activities, including inspections, audits, and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and standards

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste and reduce variability.

Training and Development:

  • Train and mentor quality staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of quality requirements and objectives.

Customer Focus:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer concerns and complaints.
  • Develop corrective and preventive actions to address customer feedback and improve customer satisfaction.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Stay updated with changes in regulations and standards affecting the manufacturing industry.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including records of inspections, audits, and test results.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.

Supplier Quality Management:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality standards.

Other Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and proficient with Microsoft office packages (excel, word, PowerPoint etc.)
