The Senior Datacenter Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our datacenter, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in datacenter management, including expertise in virtualization, networking, storage solutions, and cloud computing.

Key Responsibilities:

Datacenter Management: Oversee the operations of the datacenter, including hardware, software, and network components.

Network Administration: Manage and configure network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls.

Virtualization: Administer and optimize virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.

Storage Solutions: Implement and manage storage solutions including SAN, NAS, and RAID configurations.

Cloud Integration: Support and integrate cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with on-premises infrastructure.

Security Management: Ensure the security of the datacenter environment by implementing best practices for access control, data protection, and threat mitigation.

Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.

Monitoring & Reporting: Use monitoring tools to track performance, identify issues, and generate reports for management.

Project Management: Lead and execute projects related to datacenter upgrades, migrations, or expansions.

Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely support and service delivery.

Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.

Qualifications:

Experience: 12-13 years of experience in datacenter management and IT infrastructure.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in networking, virtualization, storage solutions, cloud computing, and security practices.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, VMware VCP/VCDX, Microsoft MCSE, or CompTIA Server+ preferred.

Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing complex IT projects and budgets.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies.

Education:

Bachelor s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or additional certifications are a plus.
