This role will work closely with the Senior Accountant, Controller, and other team members throughout the company. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions of accounts payable, processing purchase orders, assisting month-end close and NetSuite projects, and other related financial tasks.Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities:
- Verify and record details about business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed.
- Participate in month-end close tasks, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts.
- Review expense reports for proper general ledger coding and documentation.
- Process and record payments for the check run.
- Prepare, process, and verify purchase orders follow established guidelines to purchase materials and goods by required delivery dates.
- Maintain records for goods ordered and received.
- Resolve issues with purchase order changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
- Assist with NetSuite applications projects.
- Assist with year-end audit requests.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 3-4 years in an accounting role.
- Experience in a Corporate Accounting role and understanding of manufacturing a plus.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Experience with accounting software. (NetSuite preferred).
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize while remaining organized and managing time effectively.
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
- High attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
- Must enjoy working as part of a team and thrive on team culture.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Intermediate Excel skills with ability to comfortably use pivot tables and importing/manipulating data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
