Job Summary:
Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee all aspects of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree, extensive manufacturing experience, and a strong background in automotive manufacturing (Tier 1 supplier minimum). This individual will possess a deep understanding of supply chain management, cost accounting, and ERP systems, along with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
:
Manage and optimize all aspects of logistics operations, including inbound and outbound freight, shipping costs, expedite costs, and inventory management.
Utilize strong business acumen to analyze cost data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement effective cost control measures.
Drive the implementation and optimization of ERP systems, including MRP (Material Resource Planning) and master data planning.
Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and efficient use of resources.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, holding them accountable to meet OTD (On-Time Delivery) requirements.
Lead freight negotiations and stay informed on global developments in supply chain and logistics to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Oversee warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensure accurate inventory management through cycle count procedures and physical inventories.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and customer service, to meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.

Experience and Education
:
Technical degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong preference for automotive manufacturing experience (Tier 1 supplier minimum).
Extensive experience with ERP systems, such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, as a power user.
Proven track record of implementing MRP systems and optimizing master data planning.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in cost accounting and financial analysis.
Experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and cycle count procedures.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, driving results in a fast-paced environment.
