WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING –

THE BIG PICTURE

  • Partnering with top leadership of start-up companies to build People infrastructure, programs and initiatives.
  • Working with multiple client teams at pivotal points in their growth to cultivate and grow their companies.
  • Building best practice systems and processes (often from the ground up) to support efficient scaling of organizations.
  • Providing People expertise and thought partnership on every aspect of the employee life cycle.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING –

  • Work proactively with leadership at each client to ensure that the company is able to recruit, engage, and retain top talent.
  • Manage and administer the team member life cycle, from hiring through exit.
  • Ensure that People files, documentation, and communications are current and comply with applicable regulations.
  • Work through People issues for the company. This includes working with leaders and managers to identify concerns in performance and developing appropriate measures to provide team members the opportunity to succeed and to take corrective action where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate compensation guidelines for the company. Study market trends in compensation and perform job analyses using this market data.
  • Manage the employee benefits program for the company. This includes making sure all offerings are competitive and cost effective for the company and of value to team members.
  • Keep current regarding competitive HR practices, including compensation, benefits, and related issues.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION

  • Previous experience within the life science industry - Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device.
  • Previous experience working in a startup environment.
  • 8+ years of experience in the field of HR.
  • BA in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience managing the planning, development, implementation and administration of one or more HR programs in the function of employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, or training.
