Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Risk Analyst to join our team. Roles And Responsibilities

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of financial products, portfolios, and business operations. Identify and evaluate market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, and other potential risks that may impact the organization's financial stability.
  • Risk Modeling and Analysis: Develop and implement risk models, stress tests, and scenario analyses to quantify and measure financial risks. Utilize statistical techniques, financial modeling software, and data analytics to assess risk exposures and forecast potential losses.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key risk indicators, market trends, and economic factors that affect financial markets. Prepare regular risk management reports, including risk exposure analysis, risk mitigation strategies, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal risk management policies. Stay updated on regulatory changes, financial regulations (e.g., Basel III), and best practices in risk management.
  • Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies and hedging techniques to minimize exposure to financial risks. Collaborate with trading desks, investment teams, and senior management to implement risk mitigation measures effectively.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate risk assessment findings, recommendations, and strategies to internal stakeholders, including risk committees, executive management, and business units. Facilitate discussions and provide risk-related guidance to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, compliance, operations, and legal departments, to integrate risk management processes and enhance risk controls across the organization. Participate in risk management projects and initiatives to improve risk awareness and mitigation practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, risk management methodologies, and emerging technologies in financial risk analysis. Participate in professional development activities, training programs, and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance skills and expertise in risk management.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MS Finance) and/or professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) are preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial risk management, risk analysis, or quantitative finance. Experience in banking, asset management, or financial services industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and risk assessment techniques. Familiarity with risk management software (e.g., Bloomberg, RiskMetrics, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify risk exposures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in risk analysis and reporting.
