The contract implementation specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the process of onboarding new government contracts. Their major responsibilities include ensuring that government contracts are implemented effectively and in accordance with the terms and conditions in the agreements; collaborating with various departments and stakeholders to ensure government contracts are successfully implemented; and helping McKesson fulfill contractual obligations and achieve their desired outcomes. This role reports to the Director of Government Compliance & Contracts within the Government Sales Support organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract analysis: Review contracts to understand the scope, obligations, and requirements stated in the agreements.

2.Coordination: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather the necessary information and resources required for contract implementation.

Planning: Develop a clear implementation plan that outlines the steps, timelines, and responsibilities for executing the contract.

Communication: Facilitate communication between internal teams, external parties, and vendors to ensure smooth contract implementation.

3.Compliance: Ensure all parties involved in implementation adhere to the terms and conditions specified in the contract, including regulatory and legal requirements.

Risk management: Identify and address potential risks or issues that may arise during the implementation process and developing mitigation strategies.

Monitoring: Track the progress of contract implementation, monitoring key performance indicators, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders.

4.Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of contract implementation activities, including any modifications or amendments made during the process.

5.Evaluation and improvement: Assess the effectiveness of contract implementation processes and identifying areas for improvement or optimization.

Requirements:

BS/BA Degree in Business, Communication or Liberal Arts preferred or equivalent professional experience.

1+ years of relevant experience in government contracting.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to details/deadlines

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must interface and collaborate effectively with internal and external customers.

Ability to effectively resolve conflicts between individual needs, customer expectations, and requirements of the organization.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$72,000 - $120,000
