Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join a leading company in the signage and architectural branding industry. This is a search for a new role, located onsite five days a week at their largest manufacturing office in Dallas-Fort Worth. As a key player, the Senior HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing HR operations across U.S. and Canadian facilities, reporting directly to senior leadership. The role requires a strong leader who can manage HR teams, focusing on talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

In this position, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment, empowering employees to develop their skills, and supporting career progression within the organization. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in HR management within a manufacturing environment, with a deep understanding of both unionized and non-union labor laws. Strong conflict-resolution skills, leadership experience, and expertise in HR software and tools are essential. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee HR operations across multiple facilities in the U.S. and Canada, ensuring consistent and effective HR practices are in place.
  • Manage and mentor HR managers, providing leadership and guidance to promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts, ensuring the recruitment of top talent across all levels of the organization.
  • Drive performance management initiatives, implementing systems to evaluate, motivate, and develop employees.
  • Ensure full compliance with U.S. and Canadian labor laws, including unionized and non-union environments, handling complex HR issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business goals and organizational growth.
  • Empower employee development through career progression opportunities, training, and skill-building initiatives.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues, fostering open communication and conflict resolution within the workforce.
  • Lead diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a welcoming and psychologically safe work environment for all employees.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and legal compliance across all locations.
  • Monitor and evaluate HR metrics to identify areas of improvement and drive continuous development within the HR department.
  • Travel 15-20% within North America to oversee HR operations and provide hands-on support to facilities as needed.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required

  • Strong leadership experience, managing Sr. HR Generalists and HR managers
  • Expertise in conflict-resolution and employee relations
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools, including HRIS and ATS systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listener, and empathetic leader
  • Team player with a collaborative approach
  • Ability to champion inclusion and foster a psychologically safe work environment
  • Ability to travel 15-20% within North America

Education / Professional Experience

  • 7+ years of experience as an HR Manager in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience managing in a unionized environment
  • Experience HR Software and tools - HRIS, ATS

Licenses / Certifications

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
