DESIGNBAR CREATIVE INTERIORS is seeking an Office and Operations Manager. They will oversee daily operations and administrative tasks, manage office activities, support business operations, and assist senior management. This flexible, part-time position may become full-time based on performance and business needs. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator, highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

Operations & Office Management:

  • Oversee all operational and administrative functions including accounts receivable/payable: client billing, expenses, and vendor payments.
  • Manage communications, handling emails, phone messages, and maintain office supplies.
  • Coordinate payroll, timesheets, travel arrangements, project administration, and client/vendor meetings.
  • Maintain regular communication with the CPA and accounting firm regarding financial matters like sales tax, expense categorization, etc.
  • Organize team activities, retreats, and special events, and care for office pets.

Marketing Support:

  • Assist with website updates and manage content
  • Support marketing and PR communications.

Business Development:

  • Represent the company at industry events and engage on social media platforms, primarily LinkedIn.

Design & Procurement Support:

  • Assist designers with tasks related to furniture, fixtures, and equipment procurement as needed.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field.

· Experience: 3-4 years of experience in operational and organizational management; finance knowledge preferred.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Asana, Google Docs, Quickbooks and email management tools. Familiarity with payroll software or interface is a plus.

· Communication Skills: Exceptional communication abilities, including excellent phone etiquette and strong writing skills.

· Time Management: Proven ability to meet deadlines and efficiently manage multiple tasks. High level of self-motivation and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.

· Professional Attributes: Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.

· Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable, capable of adjusting to changing priorities and office dynamics.

· Interpersonal Skills: Strong team player with the ability to also work autonomously; experience in coordinating with diverse teams and managing vendor relations

Position Details

Employment Type: Part-time (20-40 hours per week), hybrid in-office and remote work schedule. Potential transition to full-time employment based on performance.

· Compensation: Initial hourly rate for the first 3-6 months, with a potential shift to a full-time salary based on job performance.
