Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on healthcare processes, regulations, and standards to guide the development of web applications.
  • Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements from healthcare providers and stakeholders to inform application development.
  • Validate and verify requirements to ensure they align with business objectives, user needs, and compliance standards.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and user stories.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing healthcare workflows and systems to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and QA teams to ensure technical solutions align with business requirements and quality standards.
  • Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the application meets functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the application is thoroughly tested and validated.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues, providing timely recommendations and solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with healthcare industry trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure applications remain current and compliant.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the healthcare domain, with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows, regulations, and standards.
  • Experience with web application development processes and methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable specifications.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and test plans.
  • Experience with quality assurance and testing methodologies, including creating and executing test cases.
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems, electronic health records (EHR), and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Healthcare Information Systems (e.g., CHDA, CPHIMS) is a plus.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
