HICO America, headquartered in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania with facilities in Los Angeles, Greensburg, PA, and Memphis TN, is part of the Power Systems business unit, in the Industrial Performance Group of the Hyosung Corporation, a large publicly traded corporation based in Seoul, South Korea. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be responsible for the process of bringing people into the organization, not just recruitment. It will include recruitment, but also includes identifying, inducting, and onboarding talent.

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Attracting and Recruiting - Our Top Tier Talent sourcing strategy centers around creating a positive candidate experience:

  • Candidate sourcing and selection to include posting open positions and short-listing prospective applicants
  • Setting up interviews
  • Preparing job offers
  • Organize and attending college recruiting programs
  • Oversee Employee Referral Program (ERP)
  • Partner with the Marketing Department to expand our recruitment marketing efforts

Onboarding - Our aim is to drive new employee productivity, accelerate learning, and improve talent retention:

1. Maintaining Induction checklists

2. Processing new hire paperwork

3. Implementing and monitoring the onboarding portion of the Core Value POWER Program

4. Sending and reviewing 30, 60, 90 new hire surveys

5. Streamline current Onboarding processes and procedures

Identify Talent - We strive find talent before others see it (both internally and externally) and find not just the best employee for each role, but also the best role for each employee:

1. Prototyping ad maintaining an internship program

2. Prototyping and maintaining a rotational tour of duty program

3. Prototyping and maintaining a High Potential (HiPo) program

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Succession Planning: Review talent needs for the future, and helps to identify and prepare future talent to fulfil critical and key roles through clear career navigation pathways - where is talent going next? What's their ambition?

Improvement: The development element which is driven by the succession planning activity – what are the gaps that need to be filled to enable talent to move to the next step?

Retention and Engagement: This is not the starting point but the reward for having a good talent management strategy and getting all the above correct.

EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Resource-related field preferred; or equivalent education and experience.
  • 1-4 years of experience providing full life cycle recruiting for a growing company.
  • Developed knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits.
  • Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills with emphasis on MS Office 365 products and Teams.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS OF THE WORKPLACE:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Position is based in Pittsburgh, PA facility.
  • Ability to use PC and office equipment.
  • Ability to perform analysis related to technical, commercial and financial matters.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to perform work.
  • Ability to prepare and present presentations regarding work scopes and change orders to the customer.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and indoor environments as required to perform work.

In this Leader Directed role your initial time commitment will be as follows:

  • 0% Strategy (What): Defining the end-state and the high-level goals and aims; What you want to do, not how you do it.
  • 0%-25% Operations (How): Broad ways and means to achieve strategy.
  • 75%-100% Tactics (Doing): How to achieve the objectives at lower levels. Empowering the people with clarity to enable them to get on with their tasks.
