Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst/Specialist to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee. You will:

• Provide security engineering support for system development and maintenance.
• Implement and manage security standards and policies to ensure customer compliance.
• Document and analyze security test results, generating mitigation reports.
• Collaborate with software developers to troubleshoot and resolve security issues.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation and requirements.
• Work with engineers, developers, and testers to understand system behavior.
• Apply disciplined approaches for designing, developing, and documenting security practices.
• Lead security risk assessments, prioritize issues, and guide remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with customers, support staff, and operators.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of cybersecurity trends, tactics, and methods.
• In-depth understanding of information security models and compliance standards (e.g., NERC CIP, PCI-DSS, NIST, GDPR).
• Experience with security governance frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ISO).
• Proficiency in security-related test cases, audits, and compliance needs.
• Skills in intrusion detection/prevention, incident handling, and forensic analysis.
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM), access control, and secure system design.
• Knowledge of firewalls, vulnerability testing, penetration testing, and application security.
• Understanding of database security, data loss prevention (DLP), and infrastructure security.
• Familiarity with asset management, wireless network security, and emerging technologies (IoT, AI).
• Proficiency in security metrics, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Experience with various operating systems (UNIX/Linux/Windows) and network tools/protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Wireshark).
