About:


One of Medix's best clients, health system, is seeking to add an experienced professional to their team. They are seeking a Director of Reporting Data Management within their Analytics & Reporting Department. This role will oversee a team of data engineers and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate analytics and reporting. Key responsibilities include managing ELT data processes, supporting vendor implementations, administering the Tableau reporting portal, and contributing to data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management, communication, and analytical skills, with proficiency in SQL Server, Python, R, or Java, as well as BI reporting. Additionally, experience in the healthcare data management field and knowledge of the application development life cycle are essential.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Oversee data processes to improve organizational analytics and reporting capabilities.

  • Lead and manage the data management team, ensuring effective leadership and operational efficiency.

  • Supervise the collection, organization, and analysis of data sources to support accurate analytics.

  • Collaborate with IT and business units to identify data reporting and security needs, and implement tailored solutions.

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient data management processes for timely and accurate data availability.

  • Coordinate data-related activities between internal teams and external vendors during solution implementations.

  • Provide data support during vendor solution implementations, ensuring accuracy and seamless integration.

  • Administer and manage the Tableau Reporting Portal, including overseeing upgrades, security, and licenses.

  • Ensure business requirements are met and properly integrated with vendor platforms.

  • Implement data governance policies to ensure compliance with security and reporting standards.

  • Actively contribute to organization-wide data governance initiatives and maintain data integrity.

  • Develop and document policies, procedures, and processes to ensure alignment with security protocols.


MUST HAVE:



  • Healthcare experience (health claim preferred, hospital/med device is also good as well)

  • Understand the functional workings of insurance and medical claims

  • Prefers someone with a technical background (SQL Developer or Engineer, etc.)

  • Be able to demonstrate strong usage of data and data models

  • Understand and demonstrate ETL and pipeline driving policies

  • Visualize process improvements, building presentations, PowerPoint and presenting


NICE TO HAVES:



  • SSIS is helpful to have

  • Tableau is a bonus

  • 7-10+ years of total experience
