Job Duties: This is a supervisory/administrative/coordination position in the Clerk of the District Court Office. This position requires leadership and management abilities. Duties include assuming duties of the Clerk of the District Court in the clerk’s absence; evaluating, training, developing, and managing assigned employees; providing guidance and information to staff; ensuring proper case management and procedures; working with the public in routine and difficult situations; establishing/maintaining effective communication with District Court employees, judges, public and other agencies; and other assignments as designated by the Clerk of the District Court.

Required Education and Experience: Graduation from high school and one year of court or legal experience. Graduation from an accredited four-year college may be substituted for the required court or legal experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Computer experience and organizational skills essential. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to understand court procedures, policies and Kansas laws and make decisions accordingly. Exemplary customer service skills a plus.
