TITLE: Software Engineer Principal - Machine Learning

LOCATION: Remote

ANTICIPATED DURATION: 3 -6 month Contract to Perm

Software Engineer Principal Responsibilities:

- Collaborate and pair with other product team members (UX, engineering, and product management) to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions

- Document, review, and ensure that all quality and change control standards are met

- Write custom code/scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, test cases, and destructive testing to ensure production resiliency

- Create meaningful dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses for proactive issue resolution

- Contribute to enterprise-wide tools for destructive testing, automation, and engineering empowerment

- Identify and implement technical solutions across the organization

- Architect foundational code elements for reuse and create architectural diagrams for security reviews

- Define Service Level Objectives to measure product reliability in production and prioritize backlog work

- Provide application support for software running in production

- Collaborate with vendors and the open-source community for feature enhancements

- Work with other product teams to create API specifications and contracts for shared data

- Participate in and lead learning activities around modern software design and development practices

Software Engineer Principal Requirements:

- 6-8 years of relevant work experience in ML development and MLOps lifecycle

- Expertise in working with multiple leading ML models and tracking key performance metrics

- Experience with advanced algorithms like clustering, forecasting, anomaly detection, and neural networks

- Proficiency in training machine learning models with large datasets

- Familiarity with Data Analysis and Machine Learning Tools such as Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch

- Experience with GPU acceleration, Google Cloud Platform AI/ML components, and effective data engineering practices

- Capable of understanding complex systems quickly and performance tuning applications leveraging ML models

Software Engineer Principal Preferred Experience:

- Experience with Generative AI models and multi-modal contexts

- Expertise in advanced machine learning techniques like NLP, convolutional neural networks, autoencoders, and embeddings

The annual salary range upon conversion for this position is $140,000 to 240,000 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees upon conversion include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k, bonus and stock.
